About Me...
Currently, I teach English 10 and 11 at Kingsford High School (Home of the Flivvers!). I most recently coached Varsity Cheerleading and I also am, or have been involved in, coaching several other extra-curricular activities such as Track, Theatre, Forensics, and Junior Class Adviser. I graduated from Ironwood High School (Home of the Red Devils!). I then graduated from Northern Michigan University, attended University of Wisconsin-Madison and Viterbo Universities where I earned degrees in Secondary Ed, English, History, Speech, and a Master's Degree in Education.
I enjoy living and teaching in the Upper Peninsula as it affords me the opportunities to enjoy many of the activities I grew up loving like skiing, hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, and boating: as well as being a fantastic area to raise a family and in a great school system. Although I enjoy this area, one of my passions is traveling, within the country and around the world. I am married to my husband: Mike and have two children: Jack & Vivvy. And we love our family dog, a Labradoodle named Lola.
I look forward to getting to know all of my students, strengthening their skills, and having a successful year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or comments you may have.
